Vedika Karandikar is a dedicated 4th-year medical student at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. She completed her undergraduate education and master’s in Epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University, where she developed a strong foundation in public health and research. Vedika was honored to receive a GERM grant from the IDSA for her research in Kawasaki Disease. Her passion for public health, cardiovascular disease management and prevention, and pediatric care drives her commitment to improving patient outcomes. Vedika is excited to bring her diverse skills and experiences to a general surgery residency, where she aims to continue her advocacy for health equity and enhanced medical care.
